Yes her heart is still beating and all the other body parts are again functioning like before;
But did she actually survive?
Or is it just the physical structure of flesh and blood that survived?
She thought she was the victim of his lust;
Then why is she the sufferer who is being punished and not the culprit?
She stands there in the farrago of emotions;
All screwed up, trying to repair herself in fits and starts;
But the unmerciful world makes all her attempts futile.
So what is it that makes them this cold hearted towards her?
Just because she is a girl?
Or is it because she was touched in a malapropos way against her consent?
Is she being punished because she is the victim not the rapist?
Cause even after committing a sin this heinous his life seems to be absolutely fine.
Why is it she who is repudiated and not he?
Despite the fact that it was he who robbed her intimacy;
Fed upon her like a brute;
Plundered and stripped her of her virginity and credence;
And may be seized her voice too.
For the reason that not a single mortal heard her;
Neither that night when she was raped;
In her own room which once happened to be the safest place;
By someone she knew and considered to be a well-wisher;
Nor today ,when she is fighting an unceasing tussle ,to convince the world that she is guilt free but he isn't.
